Can I use Quick Action links in the Customer Portal banner?

Prev Next

Yes, the customer portal banner can link to a Quick Action so that when a customer clicks the image, it immediately triggers an action in their subscription.

For example, you could link to an "Add product variant" Quick Action using an image that says "Try our new flavor." This makes it easy to highlight promotions, launch new products, or offer one-time upsells directly in the portal.

Note

Quick Actions must target the next active billing subscription (with the dynamic variable: {{nextActiveBillingSubscriptionId}}). These don’t work for reactivations or unpauses.

How do I add the Quick Action link to the customer portal banner?

  1. In your Skio Dashbaord, go to Features > Quick Actions.

  2. Click Create Quick Action and choose Modify an existing subscription

  3. Configure your Quick Action according to our Quick Actions guide.

  4. After generating the link, replace the subscription ID with {{nextActiveBillingSubscriptionId}}. The final link should look something like: https://yourstore.com/a/account/quick-action-v3?stackId=XXXX&subscriptionId={{nextActiveBillingSubscriptionId}}

  5. Go to Customer Portal > Portal Settings and add the link to the field for Banner Image Link:
