Referrals: Customer experience overview

The Referrals customer experience may appear slightly different depending on which version of the Customer Portal you are using. The sections below explain how referrals appear from the customer’s perspective. Where relevant, screenshots for both Customer Portal v2 and v3 are included.

You can customize how Loyalty appears in the Customer Portal by going to Skio dashboard > Storefront > Customer Portal > Loyalty settings tab.

Accessing the referral link

Customers can view access their referral link in multiple areas of the Customer Portal.

Viewing referral history

Customers can view how many friends they’ve referred and the rewards they’ve earned from referrals on the Customer Portal Rewards page.

Accessing the referral link from the storefront

You can add the referral code block to any page outside of the Skio Customer Portal. When added, logged-in customers can copy their referral code directly from the storefront and share it with friends.

Accessing the referral link on the Thank you page

Customers can use their unique referral link after checkout, whether they’re logged in or checking out as a guest. Shopify Plus stores can add the referral app block to the post-purchase Thank You page so customers can access their referral link right after completing checkout.
