What is Multipass?
Multipass login is a Shopify feature that synchronizes your Shopify and Skio customer accounts so your customers only need to log in once to access both. This creates a seamless shopping experience so that customers won't need to repeatedly authenticate while browsing your store or managing their subscriptions.
You must be on Shopify Plus to use Multipass and it is not supported for Shopify’s new customer accounts feature. You must be using Shopify’s Legacy customer accounts to use Multipass. Learn more in our Shopify customer accounts guide here.
How do I set up Multipass?
You'll need to retrieve your Multipass secret key from your Shopify admin before configuring it in Skio.
Step 1: Enable Multipass in Shopify
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Customer Accounts.
Under Legacy customer accounts, click on the toggle beside Multipass to enable it.
Once enabled, Shopify will display your Multipass secret key. Copy this secret—you'll need it to generate authentication tokens. Keep this secret private and secure.
Step 2: Add your Multipass secret to Skio
In the left-hand menu of your Skio Dashboard, go to Settings > General.
Scroll down to the Multipass section.
Paste the Multipass secret key you copied from Shopify.
Scroll to the top of the page and click Save.
You're all set! Your customers can now seamlessly log in to both Shopify and Skio with a single authentication.
