How to manually create subscriptions

Prev Next

Before you start

To manually create a subscription, the customer must exist in Shopify with a first name, last name, and email address.

  • Skio allows merchants to create subscriptions within the app for any existing Shopify customer, or for a new customer that is created as part of this process.

  • Subscriptions must be created individually. Bulk adding subscribers is not supported outside of a migration from another platform.

  • A payment method is not required to complete this flow. You can skip the payment step, but the subscription will not bill successfully until a payment method is added.

    • If you have the customer's card information, you can manually add a payment method during Step 5.

    • If the customer needs to add their payment details, send them a Quick Action link to add a payment method or a Checkout link to complete a new checkout.

Step 1: Select “Create Subscription” on the Subscription page
