Build-a-Box lets customers create a custom subscription box by selecting their own products, quantities, and frequency—all from the storefront. Rather than subscribing to a fixed product, customers build a personalized bundle that ships on a recurring schedule.
This guide covers what customers see and interact with throughout the Build a Box experience, from storefront to managing their subscription in their Customer Portal.

Static (Customizable)

Customers choose from your box sizes, each with a fixed number of items and a set price (e.g., 4 items for $40, 6 items for $60), then fill the box with products from your eligible items. The Items in your box tracker shows how many items they've added out of the box size, and the add button unlocks once the box is full.
Static (Preset)
Customers see the box size options, but they can't add, remove, or swap individual items.
Box size: If you offer multiple sizes, customers choose one from the size dropdown on the box card. The contents and price update to match that size.
Quantity: Customers can use the + and - buttons to order more than one of the same box.
One-time upsells: If you've configured one-time upsell items, they appear below the box as optional add-ons.
For preset static boxes, the box contents are already set, so customers choose a box size (if you offer more than one) and then go straight to checkout.

In the left-hand menu of your Skio Dashboard, go to Subscribers > Subscriptions.
Search for and open the subscription you want to manage.
In the subscription's product list, look for products with the
Build-a-Boxlabel. These are the items inside the subscriber's box.Click Manage Products to add, remove, or change the products in the box.
Note: Preset box contents can't be edited for individual subscribers. You can still remove a preset box from a subscription.
How do I preview or link to a Buy page?
You can open any static box's Buy page from the Skio Dashboard to preview it or copy its link.
In the left-hand menu of your Skio Dashboard, go to Acquire > Build-a-Box.
Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the box card.
Click Customer View. The box's Buy page opens in a new tab.
