How does the Get Now button work?

Prev Next

The Get Now button in the Customer Portal lets subscribers immediately process their next scheduled order outside of their regular billing cycle. When used, Skio automatically recalculates the next billing date so the subscription stays on a consistent schedule going forward. It can be enabled and disabled in your Customer Portal settings.

What does Get Now do?

Get Now triggers an immediate order for the subscriber's next shipment. It's available in the Customer Portal and is designed for subscribers who want to receive their next order sooner than scheduled.

When Get Now is used:

  • The order processes immediately. The subscription is billed and a new order is created right away.

  • The next billing date is automatically recalculated. Skio sets the new next billing date to the current date plus the subscription frequency. For example, if a subscriber uses Get Now on May 28 and has a 30-day subscription, their next billing date becomes approximately June 27.

  • Anchor dates are respected. If the subscription has an anchor date configured (for example, "always bill on the 15th"), the new billing date will align to the next applicable anchor after the recalculation.

  • Paused subscriptions are automatically resumed. If a subscription is paused when Get Now is used, Skio unpauses it, processes the order immediately, and sets a new next billing date one billing cycle from today.

Are there any limits on using Get Now?

Yes. The following restrictions apply:

  • Daily order limit: Subscribers can assign a maximum daily order limit per subscription within a 24-hour period. You can adjust this limit in your Skio Dashboard under Settings > General > Max daily orders per subscription.

  • Inventory check: Items must be in stock based on your store's inventory policy. If an item is out of stock, the order will not process.

FAQ

Does Get Now reset my subscription schedule?

Yes. When Get Now is used, the next billing date is automatically recalculated from the current date. The new next billing date is set to today plus the subscription frequency, so the schedule shifts forward from the moment Get Now was triggered rather than continuing on the original billing date.

Can I change the next billing date after using Get Now?

Yes. If you want a billing date other than what Skio calculates automatically, you can manually update the next billing date in the Customer Portal.

What happens if my subscription is paused when I use Get Now?

Get Now will automatically unpause the subscription, process the order immediately, and set the next billing date to one billing cycle from today.
