What is the Checkout Link Builder?
The Checkout Link Builder is a tool in Skio that lets you quickly create direct-to-checkout links. You can add one or more products, set quantities, and apply discount codes in a single link. It is especially useful for campaigns or promotions where you want customers to check out with as little friction as possible.
How do I set up a prefilled checkout link the Checkout Link Builder?
In the lefthand menu of your Skio Dashboard, go to Tools > Checkout Link Builder.
Under Checkout Link, you’ll see a field where your link will generate once you've configured your products. Copy this URL and share it with your customer so they can check out in just a few clicks.
(Optional) Enter a Discount Code: If you have a discount code, add it here and it will be automatically applied to the checkout link.
Under First product, select the product to include in the cart.
Click Add product to include multiple products.
What’s the difference between the Checkout Link Builder and Quick Action links?
Checkout Link Builder
Creates prefilled checkout URLs that take shoppers straight to Shopify Checkout with the right product and selling plan.
Best for acquisition and driving new purchases (ads, campaigns, PDP buttons, influencer links).
Easier to debug since it goes directly to checkout.
Quick Actions
Creates authenticated links for subscribers to manage their subscription (skip, delay, swap, add One-Time Upsell, reactivate, update card, etc.).
Best for retention and lifecycle flows (emails, SMS, Klaviyo automations).
More complex to debug since they’re tied to flows and require authentication logic.
Note
Use Checkout Link Builder to get new customers subscribed. Use Quick Actions to keep existing subscribers happy and reduce churn.
