Overview
This article details how customers and CX team members are able to update the billing address for a subscription in Skio. For more assistance with this kind of request, please use the chat feature in our app or reach out to help@skio.com to chat with our Support team.
When To Update a Billing Address
When using the Skio app, a customer may sometimes need to update their billing address when they move or change addresses. As a subscription platform (rather than a payment processor), Skio doesn't actually store Billing address data in the Skio backend. Instead, we pull that data from the payment processor itself (ex. Shopify Payments, Stripe, Authorize.net).
How to Update in Customer Portal
If a customer needs to update the billing address associated with their Skio subscription, they can do so in the Skio Customer Portal by clicking "Edit" next to the word "Billing". They can then either add a new payment method with a new billing address to their subscription, or edit their existing payment method and existing billing address.

How to Update in Merchant Admin Dashboard
You and your CX team are also able to do this in the Skio app by navigating to the desired subscription through Subscription Management.
- Click "Manage" in the top-right of the subscription next to the word "Customer"
- Click "Update payment method", then "Edit payment method" and then "Continue to form"
- This will bring up the same form that a customer would see in the Skio Customer Portal, where the billing address can be updated as needed or a new payment method can be added as needed
