Outline
Overview
- Create different types of selling plans for your customers (prepaid, subscribe & save, and build-a-box)
- Use various subscription offers to give your customers options to buy the products they love consistently and get rewarded for doing so
What are selling plans?
Selling Plans are the subscription types presented to customers for purchase. You can create selling plans for both products and variants. Selling Plans are the subscription options that will be displayed to the customer on the product page, quiz flows, etc.
There are currently 3 types of selling plans available at this time:
- Subscribe and Save: Offer a percentage or fixed discount on products when purchased at recurring intervals.
- Prepaid: - Give subscribers the option to pay for all of their shipments upfront, and offer discounts to incentivize doing so. More information on prepaid subscriptions can be found here.
- Build-a-box: - Create a plan that allows customers to build either a dynamic or static box of their favorite products. More info on build-a-box can be found here.
Why should I use these?
- Subscription-based discounts attract more customers and take the work out of repeatedly purchasing products they love
- Subscriptions offer opportunities for cross-selling and upselling, including directly on the customer portal
- Prepaid subscriptions can lock in confirmed revenue upfront and make things easier on your customers
- Subscriptions allow for longer customer relationships, improving Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)
How do I set them up?
You'll want to navigate to the Selling Plans page on your Skio dashboard. From there, the setup process for each type of selling plan looks a little different:
Subscribe & Save
- Select "Create New Plan" in the top right corner, then "Create Subscribe & Save"
- Enter a plan name
- Select the products you'd like to add to the plan
- Enter a selling plan name - this will be customer facing, and is usually reflective of the interval i.e. "Every month", "Every 2 weeks", etc.
- Specify billing and delivery intervals
- If desired, add a discount as a set price or a percentage off
- If desired, add a minimum or maximum number of cycles to ensure that customers are locked in for a set number of orders before cancelling, or do not exceed a set number of orders once subscribed

FAQs
What happens to existing subscribers when I modify the selling plans?
All existing subscriptions will continue to operate under the original pricing and intervals that were in place when they started and will stay the same. Should you require an update for all existing subscriptions, we encourage you to leverage our bulk operations tool for pricing updates, or you can send us an email at help@skio.com and a member of our Technical Support team will be happy to run the update for you.
Can I have multiple selling plans for the same product?
You can have a product in multiple selling plans — either a combination of prepaid or subscribe & save, or a combination of different intervals.
