- SkioSMS is a separate, 2-way subscription management tool (learn more here)
- Most merchants will use the Skio<>Klaviyo integration for emails and send SMS notifications via Skio (it's free!)
Setup instructions
How to setup Skio emails
Step-by-step instructions:
- Emails and texts sent from Skio can be found on the Notifications page in the Skio app
- In this section of your Skio admin, you will find each email and text notification that is sent from Skio
- On the left-hand side are the email notifications and on the right-hand side are all text notifications
- Emails will be sent from your Skio email address (this can be changed at any time!)
- Texts will be sent from your store’s phone number (this is predefined and the same used for SkioSMS)
Emails
- In each email notification, you will find:
- Dynamic variables that will auto-populate specific information tied to the customer
- Quick action variables which can be created at any time in the Quick action ta
- A customizable subject line
- A toggle to enable the notification
- A preview section to see how your message will be received by the subscriber
- Sending history to search if a customer has received that notification in the past
- The body of the message:
- Is HTML-based and merchants can upload an HTML template with custom styling
- We recommend styling the message and maintaining consistent brand language
- If you want to have this email send through Klaviyo, disable the notification entirely to avoid duplicates
