# Why does my subscription say "Under review"?

## Overview

This status indicates a pause in subscription billing due to a fraud review process. Any attempt to bill while under this status will automatically fail without creating a billing attempt.

## What is it?

`Contract Under Review` is a status applied to subscription contracts identified as potential fraud risks. This status is activated when we identify a subscription which has been flagged by Shopify as potentially fraudulent.

## How does it work?

When a subscription is set to `Contract Under Review` status, it means Shopify has flagged the original order related to this contract as a potential fraud risk. This status prevents any further billing attempts until the issue is resolved.

## How do I resolve it?

To resolve a `Contract Under Review` status and return the subscription to `Active` status, you must manually review and fulfill the order through their Shopify dashboard, accepting the associated risk.
