Before creating a sectioned box, make sure you have already created the individual Dynamic Boxes you want to include as sections with the correct product restrictions, volume discounts, and customization settings. The sectioned box will inherit the configurations from each dynamic box (ranges, discounts, variant grouping, etc.)
How does a Sectioned Build-a-Box work?
Sectioned boxes let you group multiple Dynamic boxes together into one box-building experience. Each section has its own product catalog, quantity rules, and discount tiers, and customers fill each section separately before checking out.
For example, a wellness brand could create a sectioned box with a "Supplements" section (choose 4 items, 5% off at 6+) and a "Snacks" section (choose 2 items). Customers fill each section in sequence, then check out with one combined box.
Sectioned boxes are best for merchants who sell multiple product categories and want to let customers build a box across different types of items, each with their own rules.

Before you start
Customer Portal v3 (CPv3) is required if you want the new customer-facing Buy page experience. If you're still on Customer Portal v2, you'll need to migrate first.
Buy page migration is opt-in. The dashboard updates automatically, but the storefront experience requires a manual migration. Contact your MSM to request it.
You need at least two Dynamic boxes created first. Each section in a sectioned box is a Dynamic box you've already set up. If you haven't created your Dynamic boxes yet, do that first. See How to set up a Dynamic Build-a-Box.
How to set up a Sectioned Build-a-Box
Step 1: Navigate to Build-a-Box
In the left-hand menu of your Skio Dashboard, go to Acquire > Build-a-Box.
Click + New box.

Step 2: Select your box style
You'll land on the Select a box style screen (Step 1 of 2).
Choose Sectioned box.
Click Next.

Step 3: Configure your sectioned box
This is Step 2 of 2 in the setup flow. Unlike Dynamic and Static boxes, sectioned boxes don't have a Selling Plan step. A live Preview panel on the right side updates as you make changes. The preview won't load until you've added at least 2 child boxes.
Basic info
Box name (required): This is both the internal name and the customer-facing name.
Children boxes
This is where you add the Dynamic boxes that make up each section of your Sectioned box. Each child box is a Dynamic box you've already created.
Click Add children boxes to add a Dynamic box as a section.
Drag and drop items to reorder the sections. The order here controls the order customers see them on the Buy page.
Add at least 2 child boxes for the sectioned box to work.
Each section keeps its own discount tiers, size rules, and product catalog from the original Dynamic box setup. Customers move through each section in sequence, filling one before moving to the next.
One-time upsell items (optional)
These are optional add-on items offered after the box is filled. They're separate from the box contents and billed as one-time purchases.
Click Select products or categories to add upsell items.

How One-time add-ons appear to the customer on the Buy pages.
Customize your Buyer Page Content
Control the text and settings your customers will see on the Buy page on your storefront.
Toggle Use default Skio copy on to use Skio's standard text. Turn it off to customize the following fields:
Header and Subheader
Customer portal box title
One time upsell header and One time upsell subheader
Discount title
Display settings:
Display variants as separate cards: Show each variant as its own card instead of grouping under one product.
Default to one time purchase: Pre-select the one-time purchase option instead of subscription.
Redirect to cart: Send customers to the cart page after adding the box instead of going straight to checkout.
Show parent box view: Display the parent box view in the customer portal.
Hide item child price (customer portal): Hide individual item prices in the customer portal.
Once everything looks good in the Preview panel, click Next to save your box. The box saves as a Draft. To publish it, you'll activate it from the Build-a-Box list view (see After setup below).
Sectioned boxes inherit the Selling Plans from their child Dynamic boxes, so there's no separate Selling Plan step. If you need to change the subscription options, edit the Selling Plan on the individual Dynamic box.
After setup
View the customer-facing storefront guide here.
After saving, you'll be redirected to the Build-a-Box list view. Your sectioned box will appear as a Draft.

To publish it, click the three-dot menu on the box card and select Enable. This sets the box to Active in Shopify and makes it visible on your store.
Once active, the box syncs to Shopify automatically. The name and delivery frequency stay in sync between Skio and Shopify with no manual steps.
From the three-dot menu, you can also:
Edit: Reopen the box setup to make changes.
Duplicate: Copy the box as a starting point for a new one.
View in Shopify: Jump to the product in Shopify admin.
Customer View: Preview the Buy page as a customer sees it on your storefront.
Disable: Set the box to Draft in Shopify (removes it from the store).
Delete: Permanently remove the box.
Considerations
Boxes with active subscribers are locked from editing. If you need to make changes to a box that already has subscribers, you'll need to duplicate it and create a new version.
Each section inherits its Dynamic box settings. If you need to change the discount tiers or product catalog for a section, edit the original Dynamic box. Those changes will carry over to the sectioned box.
If Shopify publish fails, the box saves as a Draft with a retry message. Try publishing again, and if it persists, contact support.
Only admin-level users can publish to Shopify or create/edit Selling Plans.
Selling Plans are inherited from child boxes. Sectioned boxes don't have their own Selling Plan step. If you need to change subscription options, edit the Selling Plan on the individual Dynamic box.
