Preview looks fine but live portal looks different
Verify changes before publishing
Customer Portal v3
See the updates you’ve made to the Customer Portal as you make them on the Customer Portal Customization page or follow the steps in How can I preview CPv3? to preview your experience.

Customer Portal v2
Use the Preview portal button in the top-right of the Portal Settings page. This saves your current settings as a preview and opens the live portal in a new window using a magic login link tied to a real customer account in your store. You see it exactly as customers would, without publishing to everyone yet.

Test custom CSS or custom code blocks on specific accounts
Customer Portal v3
Use the Test emails field in the CSS section. Add the email addresses of the customer accounts you want to test with. While emails are listed there, your custom code only applies to those customers. Once you're happy with the result, clear the field to apply your custom code globally.

Customer Portal v2
Use the Test emails field in the Portal Settings tab.
